The grant program aims to recognize and support trainees and students whose research in the field of oncology demonstrates significant scientific merit. These awards, presented based on the quality of abstracts submitted to an ASCO Meeting, aim to foster the next generation of cancer researchers by providing them with the opportunity to present their research at a prestigious meeting. Merit Awards offer $1,000 in monetary support, complimentary registration for the meeting, and preferred access to hotel reservations. Special Merit Awards, including the James B. Nachman Endowed ASCO Junior Faculty Award in Pediatric Oncology, recognize outstanding contributions with additional honors and monetary support to encourage continued excellence in oncology research.
