The grant program aims to support eligible trainees and students involved in research with high scientific merit by providing Merit Awards based on the quality of abstracts submitted to an ASCO Meeting. The awards facilitate the recipients' opportunity to present their research at the meeting, offering $1,000 in monetary support, complimentary registration, and access to reserved hotel reservations. Special Merit Awards, including a distinguished award in honor of Allen S. Lichter, MD, recognize the highest-ranking abstracts with additional honors and recognition at the ASCO Annual Meeting.
