The Kalamazoo Community Foundation aims to support programs and projects that promote environmental justice and sustainability within Kalamazoo County. The foundation’s mission is centered on ensuring the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people in environmental issues that impact their health and sustainability.
The LGBTQ Equality Fund aims to enhance the life of the LGBTQ community in the greater Kalamazoo area, focusing on leadership development programs and supporting LGBTQ people of color, youths and families; transgender people; and multiple generations. Its priorities include advocating for human rights and equality, promoting social justice and unity, celebrating the LGBTQ community's social and cultural contributions, and strengthening organizations that cater to the physical, health, social, or emotional needs of the LGBTQ community.
