The Rosalie and Cecil Smith Fund aims to address and mitigate the issue of feral cat overpopulation in Summit County, as well as provide spay and neuter services to cats and dogs of low-income households, honoring the memory and wishes of Rosalie Smith.
The grant program, broadly aimed at supporting children’s success in school and life, prefers programs aligned with the Cradle to Career continuum, focusing on critical educational transition points including kindergarten readiness, third-grade reading, eighth-grade math, ninth-grade success, and college and career readiness and persistence. It emphasizes a holistic learning approach and targets funds specifically towards early learning programs for children from birth to age 5, preparing them for future success.
