The mission of the Thomas H. White Foundation is to support tax-exempt, non-profit charitable and educational institutions located within Cuyahoga County, Ohio, particularly those that serve the residents of the City of Cleveland.
The White Foundation Grants aim to support programs within four distinct areas of funding: Early Childhood Enrichment, Educational Success, and Workforce Readiness. These programs target a range of beneficiaries from children aged 0-5, focusing on early learning, literacy, parent engagement, professional development for educators, early intervention, and mental health services. For students in grades K-12, the focus is on academic enrichment, STEAM activities, out-of-school learning support, social-emotional development, workforce readiness, mentoring, and post-secondary preparation. Additionally, for adults, programs that facilitate workforce readiness through soft skills development, barrier removal, job search and placement, as well as job retention support, are emphasized.
