The grant program is aimed at organizations, either public or private non-profit entities, including community-based and faith-based organizations, or for-profit entities, that are interested in competing for funds to provide Head Start and/or Early Head Start services. Specifically targeting children and families residing in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, the program has $1,270,165 annually available for the provision of these services. The grant aims to support the development of young children from low-income families through a comprehensive program that includes early education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services.
