Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council aims to support and advance the arts across the region by providing funding and guidance for a wide range of arts and cultural activities. The Arts and Cultural Heritage Grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council is funded by the Legacy Amendment and aims to support a variety of artistic activities. Eligible activities include art and music festivals, community choirs, dance performances, literary readings, concerts, theater productions, visual art classes and exhibitions, among others. This grant program is designed for arts programming by organizations, public art projects, and activities aimed at reaching new audiences. It encourages proposals that support at least one of the '5 Main Goals' of Minnesota Arts Legacy funding, which focus on the creation, presentation, and accessibility of high-quality arts activities; integrating the arts into community and public life; providing arts education; and celebrating diverse ethnic and cultural arts traditions. The Arts and Music Festivals Grant segment specifically supports events that highlight the diverse ethnic and cultural arts traditions of the state, emphasizing the involvement of Minnesota artists and performing groups in community festivals.
