The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) strives to increase Oregon’s cultural visibility and vitality by supporting unique opportunities for Oregonians to engage with innovative arts and culture.
The grant aims to support projects related to legal information, advice, services, and representation for immigrants and refugees; outreach and education regarding policies, services, and preparedness particularly for those seeking permanent residency; research and analysis on immigration and refugee issues; and community organizing, civic engagement, and advocacy. It employs a flexible approach to consider applications via a pooled fund, a combination of pooled and aligned funds, or aligned funds only. The Collaborative is designed to be nimble and responsive, reducing wait times for grantees and minimizing the burden on community groups by using a single point of contact through the "No Wrong Door" policy, shared application and reporting systems, and a collaborative application review process. Funding is typically for activities planned for a 12-month period, with a special Critical Response Fund established for small, urgent requests needing quick turnaround.
