    This grant program focuses on enhancing our understanding of the biomedical research enterprise by leveraging the science of science policy research community. It seeks proposals that draw from scientific expertise to propel our understanding forward. The effort is a partnership between NSF's SBE Directorate's Science of Science and Innovation Policy (SciSIP) program and NIH's National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS). The collaboration aims to build and support research projects focusing on the scientific research enterprise, fostering a diverse, innovative, and efficient scientific workforce. It emphasizes the need for high-quality research that provides scientific analysis of the biomedical research enterprise and related efforts. Investigators are encouraged to discuss their proposals with Program Officers to ensure alignment with the priorities of SBE and NIGMS.
