The Fellowships Open Book Program aims to widen the audience for outstanding humanities books through the use of affordable e-book technology. It targets educators, students, scholars, and the general public by making humanities books, supported by an NEH fellowship or grant, available for free download or redistribution. Eligible publishers must have issued a book post-2017, or plan to within the award period, linked to NEH-supported research, including reissues or new editions. Eligibility extends to U.S. nonprofit publishers with 501(c)(3) status and accredited public or 501(c)(3) higher education institutions.
