The Artstour & Live Music program aims to support Illinois not-for-profit organizations in their efforts to present performing artists, companies, or groups from Illinois in performances, collaborations, or short residencies associated with performances. This program specifically focuses on facilitating access to live music and performances across a variety of settings, such as schools, libraries, and community centers. The broad goal is to enrich the cultural offerings in Illinois communities by bringing in local talent for performances and educational opportunities. Examples include engaging storytellers for children’s festivals, bringing theatre companies to perform and collaborate with students, collaborating on new artistic productions, and arranging performances at local venues, including mini-performances at senior centers.
