The Rural Health Care Access Program (RHCAP) - Dental Care aims to help rural and underserved communities in Idaho enhance access to primary medical and dental health care. With a focus on Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) and Medically Underserved Areas (MUA), RHCAP offers grants up to $35,000 for projects that can address these needs within a one-year funding cycle. Eligible proposals must aim to improve access to either primary care or dental health services and may fall under community development, telehealth, or recruitment and retention categories. The ultimate goal of RHCAP is to strengthen healthcare systems, eliminate access barriers, and foster partnerships to serve communities more effectively. However, it explicitly limits funded projects to those concerning primary medical care and dental health services, excluding mental health services access issues.
