The Social Justice and Resiliency Fund aims to provide immediate and flexible support to local nonprofit relief efforts, particularly those serving economically vulnerable families. Originating in response to the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the fund transitions focus from relief to recovery, emphasizing the need for equitable and sustainable solutions for the region's most marginalized communities. It offers two types of unrestricted grants: Proactive Grants, obtained through direct outreach and conversation with program staff, and Responsive Grants, accessible through a streamlined application process on the foundation's website. These grants support efforts to address systemic issues and bolster the capacity of community organizations to respond to future crises swiftly and equitably. Grants range from $5,000 to $25,000, with potential for larger capacity-building grants upon a deeper alignment with the fund’s objectives.
