To extend the compassionate ministry of Jesus by improving the health and well-being of our communities and bring good help to those in need, especially people who are poor, dying, and underserved. Inspired by God’s hope, the mission aligns with a vision to create a ministry where associates aspire to work, clinicians to practice, and communities to thrive, underpinned by values of human dignity, integrity, compassion, stewardship, and service, reflecting Bon Secours Mercy Health’s Catholic health care heritage.
The grant program focuses on building healthier individuals, families, and neighborhoods to counteract the negative impacts of social determinants of health. It employs asset-based community development principles, public health strategies, and collaborations that enhance scale and quality of community-level clinical services and impactful social investments. Applications are accepted monthly, with a recommendation to submit at least 6 months prior to the event.
