BGE is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities where they live, work, and serve. Their mission focuses on supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion through corporate giving in areas such as building Exelon's future workforce, energy empowerment, community enrichment, and equal access to arts and culture. They aim to reflect the communities they operate in and support nonprofit organizations and students locally.
BGE's grant program aims to deliver measurable, sustainable improvements in their served communities, investing in organizations with proven track records in four key areas: Building Exelon's future workforce by supporting energy, engineering, IT, and trade education programs; Energy empowerment through focusing on environmental stewardship, clean energy, and support for financially challenged community members; Enrichment through local vitality by backing economic development efforts and community engagement programs like those of the United Way; and Equal access to arts and culture by funding programs that offer arts education and engagement opportunities to underrepresented communities.
