The Adams County Community Foundation, established in 2007, aims to inspire people and communities in Adams County to build and distribute charitable funds for good, forever. As a public 501(c)(3) organization, it ensures stewardship of donations, accountability, transparency, confidentiality, compassion, inclusiveness, and excellence in its work. It distributes grants to local charities from its managed investments, facilitating philanthropy that meets community needs and honors donor intent permanently.
The Adams County Grants program by the Adams County Community Foundation is designed with the goal of empowering nonprofits to more effectively serve vulnerable populations. The program prioritizes projects that aim to address systemic issues and improve self-sufficiency among low-income residents within three primary focus areas: Capacity Building Grants to boost nonprofit effectiveness with awards up to $25,000; Program Grants targeted at creating sustainable improvements in the lives of the community’s vulnerable individuals, also up to $25,000; and Collaboration Grants, promoting significant joint efforts in affordable housing, transportation, and economic development, with funding available up to $30,000. Special emphasis is placed on proposals that align with the Adams County Affordable Housing Initiative, also known as @ Home in Adams County.
